From Star Search to The Mickey Mouse Club, Christina Aguilera got a quick start on her musical career leading to her first self-titled album in 1999. Hit songs from “Genie in a Bottle” to “What a Girl Wants” landed her on the top of the charts and allowed her to start rolling in a respectable income. In 2010 she reached beyond recording albums and entered the film industry with Burlesque. In the end, this lady with a philanthropic heart has sold approximately 50 million records, making a name for herself in the music industry.

Despite her career success, Aguilera has definitely not had a simple life. From a controlling and abusive father to struggling with the musical identity her manager gave her, this Staten Island musician’s life has not been merely smooth sailing. Aguilera’s divorce from Jordan Bratman that was finalized in April of this year is among her struggles. The couple had been married since 2005 and had a son, Max.

As a result of the divorce, Aguilera now has two houses on the market—or does she?

Aguilera and Bratman put their mansion in Beverly Hills onthe market for $13.5 million in March of this year. The home is still listed for that same price and has yet to show signs of budging.

Furthermore, Aguilera has had her Bird Streets home on the market since 2008 without being able to successfully part with the home—until now!

The home was originally listed for almost $8 million when it was put on the market in April of 2008, but the home finally sold for a little over $4.6 million after the listing price dropped multiple times over the years. In the end, Aguilera took a hit on the 6,500 square-feet property, which she purchased for $5 million in 2003, but she is probably relieved to have this property off her hands.

Aguilera fan? No worries! You can still purchase the former home of her and Bratman if you can get together $13.5 million or you can wait and see if the price drops due to the buyers’ market.

In the end, Aguilera’s lack of success in the real estate market is unlikely to drag this motivated woman down. After overcoming child abuse and digging herself out of a rocky childhood, this singer is prepared to conquer the world.
